The Pipewell Hall Estate
Pipewell, Northamptonshire NN14 1QZ
A 1675 built, Grade II-listed late-Jacobean Mansion set in approximately 40 acres of landscaped gardens, parkland and pasture land.
The flagstone floors and magnificent open fireplace with carved stone surround in the entrance hall confirms the feeling of an exceptional and historic country house upon arrival at Pipewell Hall.
The principal reception rooms, the majority of which radiate from the entrance hall, have fantastic proportions, yet maintain the warm feeling of a family home.
The landscaped gardens have been restored to their original glory in recent years and provide a delightful mature setting for the Hall. The front driveway is bordered on either side by extensive lawned areas along with a small pocket of woodland to the west. Between the wood and the lake are further lawns, part of which have been levelled and the area is used as the site for wedding marquees.
The lake, fed by Harpers Brook which separates the gardens, approx. 16 acres, from adjoining parkland a further 20+ acres, has been dredged and re-landscaped along with the wilderness garden which borders the lake and Harpers Brook. Adjacent to the western side of the Hall is a large croquet lawn, a perfect area for entertaining.
The current owners purchased in 2004.
From 2007 – 2011 a complete overhaul was undertaken.
Significant works included lifting repairing and relaying the entire roof structure, decommissioning and installing a new central heating system, reconfiguring the kitchen area to create a fabulous kitchen breakfast room, extra bathrooms, improved landscaping and countless other initiatives.
